Volunteers Make Waves
Yes they do – along our beautiful lakeshores and watersheds, from coast to coast to coast, across oceans, and in every place around the world. The ripples of their good work are felt everywhere.
Thank you for your contributions to your communities and to Live from the Rock.
Your wave continues
- 25 years since the first Red Rock volunteers signed the LFTR Letters Patent
- A quarter century of volunteer run arts-based community-focussed events
- Good Folk, Great Music – the 23rd annual Live from the Rock Folk Festival

You
- keep a world-class, family-oriented music and arts festival alive
- lend your talents to a vibrant arts and community ecosystem
- learn, lead and teach in a welcoming place
- do work that matters – essential to our region, artists, patrons, business …
- make fun possible – for yourself, your friends and fellow volunteers (like me)
Bravo and thank you for all the work you have done or continue to do. Our waves and ripples shape landscapes. That’s pretty amazing.
With warm regards from a fellow volunteer,
Cathy Morgan

The Live from the Rock Blues & Folk Society is the not-for-profit volunteer entity that is responsible for the annual Live from the Rock Folk Festival. LFTR success is largely possible because of the contributions of 150+ volunteers. Check out the link for lots of great information on the Festival, great photos, and links to our Facebook and Instagram. And of course, link to our volunteer opportunities if you haven’t already done so. Volunteers make waves is this year’s National Volunteer Week theme, as presented by Volunteer Bénévoles Canada.
