Hours of Operation
The Live from the Rock Folk Festival is always held the weekend after the August long weekend. The campground and Main Gate open on Thursday at noon. Workshops and alternate programming run during the day, Friday through Sunday, with concert performances on the Festival stage Friday and Saturday evening as well as Sunday afternoon.
Getting Here
The festival takes place in one of the most beautiful and surreal places on earth. Red Rock’s marina front Pull-a-log Park is located on the north shore of Lake Superior and is fully accessible by car or boat.
If you're driving, the Township of Red Rock is located 90 km east of Thunder Bay and 8 km south off Highway 11/17 on Hwy. 628. Red Rock is a small scenic community overlooking Lake Superior’s Nipigon Bay, nestled between the towering cliffs of How Mountain and the rugged shores of Lake Superior.
Coming by water? The Marina in Red Rock is in the secure freshwater harbour of Nipigon Bay. It has deep water access from the Simpson Channel all the way to a fully-serviced marina. The marina hosts a state-of-the-art security system operating 24 hours of surveillance recording. The marina entrance has a depth of 3 meters (9'8") up to and along the fueling peninsula. The marina has three docks with a capability of docking 82 vessels.
Additional amenities include: washroom, shower and laundry facilities and WiFi access. Gas and diesel fuel, pump out, water, electrical and launch facilities are available at the marina between the months of May to October.
For rates and slip registration visit the Red Rock Marina website.
